Anxiety is a normal aspect of a person’s character when they find themselves in situations where they feel helpless. Consider a frog that jumps into a hole it can’t escape from. People lose all of their mental strength and cannot make the right decisions for themselves when they are anxious.
Individuals often attempt to escape such situations by desperately trying hard to return to normalcy. However, that is a mistake. No matter how hard we try, most of the time, we fail because we fail to comprehend our situation. We need to think differently. Personally, I struggle with anxiety, and I am still fighting it. However, I don’t give up. I have tried various approaches and eventually discovered a few methods that have helped me improve my anxiety problem. Here, I will share five tips on how you can enhance your situation of anxiety and break free from it.
1.Try to focus on the bigger picture in anxiety:
It is essential to know and focus on the ultimate goal. Just because you are anxious about something now doesn’t mean this is the only topic that will cause anxiety in your whole life. People face numerous sufferings and troubles in their lives. Take a deep breath, focus on the options you have, and concentrate on your ultimate goal. Strive to reach your goal instead of dwelling only on the small picture in front of you. Remember, you are here to win your battle, not just this one war. Also, keep in mind that difficult times do not last a lifetime, and time heals pain. Wake up, be positive, and make a plan to work on it.
2.Find out what you can actually do in anxiety:
This is another important thing to consider. You might think that your friends and family can help, but trust me, despite showing empathy, most of the time, they can’t do anything. You have to think about what you can do. You don’t have to do anything significant. If you struggle to think, just grab a piece of paper and write it down. Eventually, you will realize that you can do many things. First, focus on doing small things that might help you. Gradually build up confidence and move on to bigger things. Ultimately, you will find a way to be less anxious and productive at the same time.

3.Keep away from negativism:
In our lives, we encounter many people. Remember, not all people are helpful to us. Find someone who can help build your confidence. Always stay away from people, even if they are close to you, who will diminish your self-belief. Also, try to do something that you enjoy, rather than something someone told you to do. Pursue a hobby and work on it.
4.Follow the journey, do not think about the destination:
This is another important thing to consider. Imagine you are in a boat in an ocean. You don’t know where the land is, but you do know that you came from the west, where you last saw the land. There are two options: sit idle and hope someone will come to rescue you, or start sailing westward to find the land. You have to start your journey to get out of anxiety; eventually, you will find lots of tools that will help you improve. Initially, you might not know if you will be successful or not. But if you start the journey and just follow it, one day you will see a ray of hope.

5.If you really can’t cope, only tell one or two people you trust, but not all:
Sometimes people just need to speak to someone to find a way to cope and be productive. I’m not saying you should shut down all communication; rather, I would suggest finding a person who can help you grow. It’s tough to identify such a person, but there are two ways to approach this problem. If you’re sure about someone who can be helpful, you can only ask that person for help. If you’re not sure about anyone, you can try contacting a few people, and at least one or two of them will be helpful to you. It’s a risky thing, and there are lots of pros and cons to it. I will try to write another blog based on that. But there is no harm in getting help from another if it improves your confidence and helps you in your journey.
Conclusion:
Anxiety itself creates so much stress that I know it makes it tough for a person to make the right decisions. I have applied these five things above and found tremendous help.
